Thousands of times a day the Armed Forces, Territorial Defence units, the Security Service, the National Guard, volunteers, the Municipal Watch and government agencies deal with the issue of identity checking. Given the risks, the YouControl analytics service, jointly with Artellence and with the SBU support, have developed a free app called ТyHto (ТиХто) for quickly checking individuals at checkpoints, in the street during the curfew, at bomb shelter entrances or anywhere.
Every day Territorial Defence units, the police and the military check thousands of people at checkpoints and right in the street. Despite all the attention and caution, there is a risk of passing up a dangerous person, because all necessary persons’ records are not accessible in the field. And namely their possible connections with criminals, subversive reconnaissance groups and the “Russian World”. And while the Armed Forces are fighting in the frontlines, subverters, aimers and collaborators keep doing harm from the rear, deftly disguised as law-abiding citizens.
To reduce such risks, YouControl jointly with Artellence and with the SBU support, have developed the free app ТyHto for quick checks of individuals. Currently, this app is a unique and efficient development. Its main advantages are a great number of public information sources, face comparison technologies and search by social-media photos.
The main idea is to get a deeper knowledge of who is in front of you. And thus improve the accuracy of and accelerate checks of persons in wartime and otherwise.
The app checks:
whether the photo in the passport corresponds to reality;
whether the passport is invalid/stolen/lost;
whether the person is wanted;
whether the person is under NSDC sanctions;
whether the person is on the terrorist/subversive reconnaissance group register/Myrotvorets database;
whether the car used by the person was stolen.
Important: the app does not contain, store or transfer any individuals’ personal data. It contains public data from open registers. If a risk factor has been triggered, this does not mean that the person in front of you is a criminal -- this is a signal for the police or other services to pay attention and do a deeper and more detailed check.
The app asks for the checked person’s full name, passport series and number, and birthdate. Even one line is enough but the more details, the more accurate the check. You can also take a picture of the person and their photo in the passport for the system to verify whether it matches. Or doesn't match.
To check a car, just enter its licence plate number. If the car is not stolen, the app would return the car parameters: brand, model, colour, and year of manufacture. This check reveals vehicles that use other vehicles’ licence plates.
Now you know if you can trust the person in front of you. Or maybe this person has to be checked by the police or special services deeper.
Who is it meant for? The best use of this app will be for members of the Armed Forces, Territorial Defence, SBU, the National Guard, volunteers, the Municipal Watch and government agencies in their daily checks of persons. Anyone though can use it. For instance, to check the lessor/lessee. You can even check your new neighbours.
ТyHto is free. You need a telephone number to register. So we encourage you to download it and recommend it to your kith. The more of us use the app, the more enemy persons would be exposed, the higher would be our security and the sooner our Ukraine would have the victory!
